Spielzeitheft 2009/10
Zum bereits vierten Mal entwickelte xhoch4 gemeinsam mit dem Theater Ingolstadt die zentrale Publikation der Saison – das Spielzeitheft. Für dieses wird jährlich ein aufwändiges Gesamtkonzept entwickelt und realisiert, das dem Spielzeitthema verpflichtet ist, weit über ein normales Jahresprogramm hinaus geht und vielmehr als Begleiter zur Saison fungiert.
Die „weisse Bibel“ überraschte das Publikum im letzten Jahr zum Thema DEMOKRATIE, das neue Thema baut auf dieser Diskussion über die Gesellschaftsform in der wir leben auf, konzentriert sich aber mehr auf das Individuum, wirft das tugendhafte Goethe-Zitat „Edel sei der Mensch, hilfreich und gut“ auf und fragt nach Richtigkeit und Gültigkeit 2009.
Nun gesellt sich die „schwarze Bibel“ zu ihrem weissen Vorgänger. Es geht wieder um die Diskussion und um Widersprüche zwischen Konzept und Realität der Gesellschaft und nun vor allem um den Beitrag und das Verhalten eines jeden Menschen in dieser Gesellschaftsform. Die gar so heilige DEMOKRATIE kleidete sich in ein unschuldiges Gewand aus weissem, weichen Leder. Ihr Nachfolger mit dem Glauben an den edlen Menschen entpuppt sich auf den ersten Blick als schwarzes Schaf.
Die aufgeworfenen Fragen und Diskussionen kann und soll der Zuschauer für sich beantworten, das Heft dient lediglich zum Anstoß und gibt ihm 15 Essays zum Thema an die Hand. Auch das eine Besonderheit der Ingolstädter Spielzeithefte, ein umfangreicher thematischer Exkurs neben den üblichen Stückbeschreibungen, Ensemblevorstellungen und Informationen zu Abonnement und Service.
Formal unterscheiden sich die beiden Bücher nicht nur in Farbe und Haptik des Umschlags. Während sich Teil 1 noch stark an bibeltypischen Formalien orientierte (gelbliches Papier, typischer Satz, Lederhaptik, Leseband), emanzipiert sich Teil 2 und zeigt mehr individuelle Gestaltung, die dennoch eine Verwandschaft nicht leugnet – eine Verwandtschaft, die auch die Spielzeitmottos verbindet.

The „white bible“ astonished last year´s audience to the motto of DEMOCRACY, the new issue is based on that discussion about the social system we live in but centres more on the individual. It raises the virtuous quote of Goethe „mankind be noble, helpful, just“ and enquires about its rightness and validity in 2009. A „black bible“ now consorts with the white antecessor. Again it is about discussion and antagonism between concept and reality within a society and the contribution and behaviour of each human being in our social system.
The (all but) holy DEMOCRACY attired itself in an innocent garment of white, mellow leather. The successor with a believe in noble mankind emerges as a black sheep at first sight.
The questiones and discussions raised can and should be answered by the audiences themselves; the season programme only works as impulse and allocates 15 essays. That aswell is an especialness of Ingolstadt Theatre, a comprehensive thematic excursus besides the usual contents of plays, presentation of the ensemble and information about abonnement and service.
Formally, the two books not only differ in colour and surface feel of the wrapper. Whereas part 1 orientates itself on formalities that are typical for bibles (yellowish paper, typical type, leathery surface, sorting belt), part 2 liberates itself and shows more individual design, that - for all that - does not gainsay a relatedness, a connection that also conjoines the mottos.
