Daniel Lange (*1978) comes to Ingolstadt in 1997. Via graffiti, he descries canvas as a medium of expression. Since 2002 he works as self-employed artist. 2003 he makes the decision to go into business with exhibitions and free design - an idea, that opens out into the founding of the design collective xhoch4. He is the organisational talent in the quartet and leading in the realisation of exhibitions and the communicative fostering of the xhoch4 network.

In the early works of Daniel Lange, the graffiti-roots can be sensed in striking chromaticity, in a mix of object and ornament. He continued to develop to a more realistic style of painting, still using "cut-and-dried" elements, though breached with added layers or the confrontation of carbon mixed with acrylic colour.

The interaction of the seemingly incomplete or sketches with elaborate motifs emphasise the statements of his work.

An important point in the work of Daniel Lange are - and that point does not only refer to his canvas - : statements: political, cultural or social declarations, accusations and comments.
Local events are not only scrutinised by the work of xhoch4, but also by actions like "private ground", that proove a strong sense of locality.
