Exhibitions

The idea of xhoch4 was born in 2003 in a small gallery in Ingolstadt with the first exhibition launched under the same name. Since then, the idea has given rise not only to a successful design office with outlets in Munich and Ingolstadt: xhoch4 regularly goes back to its roots by hosting numerous exhibitions featuring international artists. xhoch4 consciously avoids constraints in terms of genre and style. Painting, photography, graffiti and street art, graphic design, fashion and object art often come together.

In addition to conventional exhibition halls, xhoch4 likes to use vacant office buildings as galleries for exhibiting projects. This approach creates a "sense of locality"; a reflective dialogue takes place with the hosting city as a tension-filled by-product of the exhibition. By using ever-changing locations to house the works of young artists spanning different genres, we ensure that our projects are innovative and remain in perpetual motion.
