The interfaces were fluid, xhoch4 grew out of a passion and matured into a successful design office.

Essentially, René Arbeithuber, Christian Bolza, Boris Schmelter and Daniel Lange (till 2009) follow their own intuition: their common roots lie in the field of graffiti. Rapidly outgrowing its shoes, this forum began to expand in all directions, ultimately resulting in the foundation in 2003 of a professional communication design team following initial exhibitions held in vacant offices. Alongside the applied design activity, the team continued to forge ahead with its own free work, collaborating across genres with international artists.

What we are left with is xhoch4, certainly no run-of-the-mill design office. On the contrary, xhoch4 is a design collective which subscribes to an ideology that no longer permits a distinction between graphics, graffiti and art.
